Bain's Bridge Development Site

New Development Site on the Cahaba River

The Cahaba River is one of Hoover's most important assets. With more than 50 miles of frontage along the river, city leadership has identified recreation access as a key priority. In Fall 2022, the Hoover City Council approved the purchase of the former Bama Concrete property along Lorna Road. With direct access to the Cahaba River, this +/- 1.7 acre site presents a key recreation and commercial development opportunity.

Request for Proposals

The City of Hoover is seeking development proposals from qualified firms for the opportunity to purchase and creatively redevelop City-owned property at 3989 Lorna Road in the Jefferson County portion of Hoover.

Because of its proximity to the Cahaba River and related City assets, the City considers this property an important Site that offers unique commercial and associated recreational opportunities. Currently, the Site is not zoned, but will be rezoned for commercial and recreational uses.
